Dreamcatcher ta da

This sweet beauty was inspired by an old pair of cut off shorts in the “give to thrift store” pile.  The frayed edges would look so boho & interesting in a dreamcatcher.  The wooden bird, found at Michaels Arts & Craft store was perfect for the middle.

I used a small hoop, probably 5 inches, & older silver lined sparkly seed beads.  They look “dirty” due to the tarnishing of the silver. Perfect for the worn look I was going for.  I found some feather templates online and used them to pattern my denim feathers.  I used more of the old pair of shorts… which are not going to the thrift store now…as cut up as they are now. 😉  For the rest of the fringe, my collection of wooden beads got raided, as well as some AB bugles, AB vintage acrylic drops, & glass AB faceted rounds.  Not to much sparkle, but just enough.

I’ll be taking this dreamcatcher to Twig & Squirrel, a little shop in Saskatoon.  I hope to sell it there by commission. It won’t make it into my Etsy shop unless she doesn’t want to stock it.  If YOU want it, message me for price! 🙂
