Fingerless Mitts Ta Da

Design Wars is hosting a Christmas Crochet A Long with prizes from LionBrand and Red Heart.  The patterns are on sale for a limited time, usually at deep discounts.  For instance: I got this cute & simple pattern for fingerless mitts from ACCROchet for only $1.

Get gift ready before Christmas! Crochet along with us every single week from 20 Nov – 22 Dec where new patterns will be featured and discounted from our favorite designers!

Follow along to build your stock pile of crochet gifts, enter to win patterns from your favorite designers, and stick around until the end for our grand prize drawing – $50 in Lion Brand Yarn to one winner, and $50 in Red Heart Yarn to another! ”

I managed to make 2 pairs in the time limit but I did not win any free patterns.  I am still entered for the final grand prize in December though.

For the first pair, I followed the directions, using the right weight of yarn and hook and made this colourful pair with Kroy Sock yarn.  I love the lime green and bright yellow in this colourway. {click here to view project details}

I then used a lighter weight yarn and a 4.00 mm hook {size up from pattern} to make this shaded pair.  They ended up being my favorite. {click here to view project details}  The Michaels brand yarn I used is sadly discontinued, but when I bought it on sale I had a pair of fingerless mitts in mind.  I thought I would make a pair of crocodile stitch ones {pattern from Bonita} but I did not get around to making them.  I am not disappointed however!  I love these. {did I mention that? 😉 }
