My garden

Plants are starting to come up, and it’s finally stopped raining {for today – rain in the forecast for the next week!}.  I got the grass/weeds in the aisles weed-wacked down, and some of the plots have had a bit of weeding done.  My son did the peas, and did a perfect splendid job {yay for some autistic OCD behaviours!} that it’s STILL weed free 3 days later.  The other plots are getting overrun with chickweed so it’s a careful job pulling it out without pulling out a wee baby vegetable plant.

I used thrifted spoons and metal letter stamps to make my garden markers.  The letters are so super tiny though. 😦 Not very happy with them, but it’ll do for this year.

I put old stumps at the ends of the plots with the spoons and flower seeds.  Hopefully by mid july I’ll have pretty flowers.  The zucchinis in the hills are doing nicely.  Lots and LOTS of weeding to be done!!

We’re having a ton of people come and camp out this Canada Day holiday, so soon this yard will have tents, people, and loungers on it.  The grass needs another mowing, but the mower broke down today. Much curses could be heard.  Hopefully we can borrow a friends until ours get fixed or we can buy a new one. :/
