Sly Fox Hat Ta da!

I saw this super adorable crocheted fox hat on Pinterest, and had to make it.  I didn’t really have any foxy coloured yarn, so it had to wait for an online order to arrive.  When it did, this is the first thing I made!

  • Sly Fox Hat Pattern by goodknits with adjustments
  • Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Carrot
  • Loops & Thread yarn in Black
  • Loops & Thread yarn in White
  • 5.oo mm hook
  • tapestry needle

I made some changes to the pattern to suit my crocheting style.  For instance, I chained 2 at the start of each round and then adjusted the numbers of stitches accordingly.  I also changed the ears slightly to join the two pieces in the last round of the white and orange section rather than whipstitch or ladder stitch them together.  I’ve asked for permission to sell finished hats, so hopefully I will be able to have them available at the craft sale in a couple of weeks and possibly in my Etsy shop.  {Edit: permission gained to sell at the craft fair!} I’ve also made a smaller sized one, but need to fit it on to an actual toddler so I know if I made to many or to few rounds. 🙂

Ta da!!!!

{Rhiannon has claimed this one. She LOVES it! She’s even finally taken off her creeper toque to wear it.}
