It was only a 30 minute drive and park entrance fee away from watching the kids frolic in the water, and on the beach while I relaxed on a blanket. Next time though: More Snacks!!

It was a nice away-from-the-farm break!

We usually manage to go to the Fringe Festival, but didn’t make it this year. 😦  However, we were in Saskatoon for a different event, so I quickly visited my longtime friend John at his jewelry booth.  He travels to all these events and makes his living during the summer selling interesting jewelry and doodads from Tibet and India and that part of the world.  When I have cash to spend I’ve bought a piece from him every year.  This year I snagged a gorgeous cuff bracelet and a stag silver ring!

Last year I got a chicken ring, which is super adorable.  In the past I’ve usually gotten these wonderful cuff bracelets studded with stones.

Sparkle&DoomDesignsBeautiful!  I recommend visiting John next year, he has amazing jewelry, great prices, and he’s a great guy.
