my current WIPS

I am pretty happy with myself so far this year.  I have an unspoken resolution with myself to FINISH projects.  Finish old WIPs. Really FINISH  the new ones I start this year.  I am terrible at starting projects and not finishing.  I love doing so many different things, so I’m always wanting to start something new.

Today, being Hookin’ On Hump Day, I’ll share my WIPs that I started this year and have been good at keeping working on. 🙂

And since none of these are very travel friendly due to size, pattern only on the net, or so many colours, I have decided that rather than start ANOTHER crochet project I would do some crossstitch instead.  I have a ton of the small projects that come with the UK CrossStitcher magazine, and I have been jonesing to do some stitching.  Perfect! Hits all my sweet spots.  Best of all, I’ll get all these Christmas kits done way before the holiday and there won’t be any panic, and I’ll be able to have some beautiful tags and ornaments.

Jeep Project!

Jeep Project!

I’m a busy gal around here.  None of this even mentions the quilting I’m still working on, or the bead work I’m doing.  (I’ll be listing some more pieces today!)  I was also very happy to have 2 sales this week. (Yes, sales are still rare for me, I’m not sure why. 😥  )  So I got the perfect fabric to finish my quilt top and found a place local that does hand quilting.  So once I’m done the top and back (eek! backing fabric!) I’ll be getting it quilted. 🙂

No gardening yet!  We’ve just had the weather forecasters let us know that we’re in for a few inches or so of more snow. Snow.  No-one is happy about that.  😦
